<title>Forbidden  Art Returns</title>

<description>&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Four decades ago the works of these artists, who dared to display them right in the street, were crushed by bulldozers. Today this, once-forbidden, art is returning-the work of the second wave of the 20th-century Russian avant-garde is for the first time on view at the State Historical Museum on Red Square. You can see works by Ely Belyutin, Nikolay Vechtomov, Ernst Neizverstny, Vladimir Nemukhin and other Soviet nonconformists. The Exhibition opens on August 14 in the museums New Exhibition Hall.</description>

It presents obscure, newly restored outstanding icons and items of arts and crafts from the Kremlin Museums collection. It includes magnificent artworks, executed by the renowned icon painters of the Michael Feodorovich Romanov’s workshop, i.e. Istom Savin and his sons, Nikita Davidov, Marc Matveev and others.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;BR&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;
