"Geotechnical Challenges in Megacities"

7-10 June 2010 the International Conference "Geotechnical Challenges in Megacities" takes place on in WTC Moscow. The conference enjoys participation of the leading international and Russian geotechnical specialists. The organization of the conference has been supported by International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) and Russian Society for Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering (RSSMGFE).

The Committee on Standards, Quality & Reciprocity of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) has established service standards for each of the major services and programs that meet the brand "World Trade Center" and that each WTC offers to its members, tenants, local businesses, and daily visitors. The objective of developing these standards was to assure that all Centers provide consistent, reliable service to businesses and individuals around the world as well as assuring a quality delivery mechanism for the universal services the WTCA provides. A special procedure of certification was developed for the assessing whether a WTC meets the standards for service quality and the External Assessment Team was set up for conducting the procedure. After successful certification a WTC is issued a special Certificate, confirming the services quality. The services assessed as of highest quality get into the Clearinghouse for "Best Practices".

A Certified WTC should provide trade information services as well as three more services at the least, out of the service category list, specified in the WTCA Standards.

February, 1998 WTC Moscow successfully passed WTCA certification, being assessed on seven categories of services and got a Quality Certificate. It is one of 39 certified WTC's in the world.
